From concept to commissioning of permanent CO₂ storage plants
Cestore provides a complete process solution for industry and the energy sector seeking to achieve both net zero and permanent negative emissions.
Our electrochemical technology converts captured CO₂ into dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) that can be integrated into the natural buffering systems of oceans, lakes and rivers This represents an established and internationally recognised form of durable storage within the CDR market, based on the same chemical mechanisms that the oceans already use to store carbon dioxide for thousands of years.
Cestore’s process solution within the CCS value chain
The process diagram illustrates the full CCS value chain — from CO₂ emissions and capture to Cestore’s process solution for permanent storage, highlighted by the dashed outline.
After capture, the CO₂ gas is fed into our electrochemical process, where it reacts with an alkaline feedstock and is converted into dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC). At the same time, electricity is generated as part of the process.
The treated water, containing permanently stored carbon, can then be discharged back into the ocean, lake or river and integrated into their natural buffering systems — without compression, transport, or geological storage.
Cestore’s solution enables permanent CO₂ storage directly on site, where emissions occur.

A solution designed for industrial reality
Our technology is modular, energy-efficient, and designed for direct integration into existing plants. By using existing utilities such as energy and water infrastructure, both complexity and lead times are reduced compared to conventional CCS.
The storage process takes place locally, without the need for new, expensive infrastructure, CO₂ compression, or geological storage. The entire process is based on verifiable process steps, strengthening the value of both emissions reductions and durable carbon removal.
The technology is scalable from 50,000 to more than 200,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year and is tailored for industrial point sources where climate impact is greatest: directly on site, addressing CO₂ emissions directly at their origin.
In partnership with industry
We do not see ourselves solely as a technology provider, but as a long-term partner. In close collaboration with our customers’ organisations, we take responsibility for the entire journey from analysis to an operational facility — including technical and commercial assessments, feasibility studies, site selection, front-end engineering, construction, and optimised operation.
Our ambition is to offer an efficient industrially scalable pathway to net zero and permanent carbon removal. Through direct integration into existing industrial processes, Cestore’s technology enables permanent CO₂ storage with real climate impact.
